As Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays an ever-increasing role in helping individuals and organisations deal with new and exciting developments affecting todays society, our BSc (Hons) Artificial Intelligence course immerses you in an exciting, innovative environment where you will develop your theoretical and technical knowledge and skills which will be directly relatable to your future career.

You will discover, learn, and master technology that is going to change our relationship with computers forever. From intelligent chatbots that ‘understand and communicate just like humans, to uncovering information from Big Data that could predict disease and save lives.

What job can I get with a degree in Artificial Intelligence?

As a graduate in Artificial Intelligence, you are going to be in high demand. As more and more businesses need to adapt to technological advances, the demand for AI skills increases.

As an Artificial Intelligence graduate, you may wish to enter a career in areas such as Data Analytics, Big Data engineering, AI Engineering, User Experience Design, Data Mining and Analysis, Natural Language Processing for chatbots, Machine Learning, Research, and more.

Also, since a growing range of industries require AI skills, you could choose to work in sectors like: Financial services, Healthcare, Technology, Media, Marketing, Government, Military, Agriculture, Gaming, and Retail.

Studying Artificial Intelligence at Northumbria doesnt limit you to only AI roles, however. Will I get work experience on my Artificial Intelligence degree?

Previous students from the department have been on placement with blue-chip companies such as Hewlett Packard and GlaxoSmithKline and at CERN in Geneva.
