About this courseThis Higher National Certificate will help you gain the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to start a career within the field of business, and on completion, consider progression to your final year of a degree here at Roehampton. This University course is approved by the Institute for Apprenticeship and Technical Education.This two year Higher National Diploma course is suitable for students' finishing college or those re-entering education after employment or career-break.An industry-recognised qualification, known to provide the practical and problem-solving skills needed by employers, will support a fast-track entry to employment for students entering or choosing a career-change within the employment market. The course is equivalent to the first two years of undergraduate study.During the course, you will have the opportunity to specialise in a business-related occupational area and, on completion of your studies, you can choose to enter employment or progress to your final year of our degree-level course. You will, in your second year, choose your own research project based on a contemporary industry-related theme.With a dedicated, expert and supportive tutor team, you will learn to apply your own ideas to the Business world, deal with uncertainty and complexity, explore solutions, demonstrate critical evaluation and use both theory and practice in a wide range of real-world business situations. Plus, you’ll be supported through your course with a friendly, committed and available team, offering wellbeing, professional, industry and career-related advice whenever you need it.
SkillsOn finishing the course, you will have the confidence to enter the employment market, with a sound understanding of the business world and real-world understanding of how to apply your principles to it.
