Course summary
The BSc (Hons) Computing with AI Technology will provide you with a recognised undergraduate qualification which combines a wide range of computing subject areas with Artificial Intelligence Technology.
It is also attractive to learners who have related IT work experience but do not hold a first degree as they provide an opportunity to achieve an academic qualification in a subject area in which they are familiar. Indeed, there is a need in the market for those with such qualifications and the programme can prepare you for a range of careers in artificial intelligence, including machine learning on cloud and programming for AI applications.
What will I study?
To accelerate your learning, you will be exposed to theories and principles relating to the design, development and testing of software using AI. You will be exposed to the in-depth concepts, principles, technologies, and techniques to train and deploy distributed machine learning models using cloud-based platforms such as Google Cloud or AWS. You will subsequently be able to apply this knowledge and skill in your own context, and subsequently critically analyse the implementation and recommend potential future improvements.
You will additionally develop understanding of the typology of innovation, how firms leverage internal and external resources to compete in the digital environment, and how to plan for innovation in any organisation.
Careers and further study
After graduating from this programme, you will be equipped to work in a variety of careers in the IT industry, or to progress to academic or research-orientated careers.
The programme will develop your skills and competencies for careers in a range of job roles, such as:
Software Engineer
Database Developer
AI Data Analyst
Information Security Professional
