Tackle crime and criminal justice beyond the lecture theatre, and prepare to make a difference with our career-focused degree.You’ll learn in-demand skills from world-leading academics, get the chance to tap into our close links with local and national criminal justice agencies, and put the theory into practice at our top-tier facilities. As well as our mock courtrooms, we’re also one of the few universities in the UK with a replica Crime Scene Training Facility on campus. Here, you’ll develop skills that can lead to various careers in criminal justice and law.The course includes a combination of core and optional modules, and provides the opportunity to apply for a placement with Humberside Police.

Where could this take me?

Your career could be focused on any part of the criminal justice sector, with recent graduates going into roles helping witnesses cope with the emotional impact of giving evidence in court, supporting vulnerable young people and their families, and helping offenders stay on the right side of the law after release from prison.Many of our graduates go into careers within the police force, HM Prison Services, the Probation Service, or in legal professions including legal rights, social work, the charity sector or the Civil Service.
