Course summary

Diagnostic radiographers use imaging techniques – such as radiography, fluoroscopy, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound – to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of illness. This accredited degree course provides the technological, biological and social knowledge required to practise as a diagnostic radiographer within a healthcare team. City, University of London has one of the best-equipped radiography training facilities in the country and were 1st in London for Medical Technology. We offer students a unique learning environment, mirroring many of the facilities you will encounter in professional practice.Benefit from opportunities arising from our close links with radiology departments in hospitals, the radiography profession and industry. Practise your skills in a simulated environment in our well-equipped Clinical Skills Centre, which includes a fully equipped X-ray suite and dental equipment.This degree equips you with the skills to become a Diagnostic Radiographer. Upon graduation, you will be professionally recognised by the Society and College of Radiographers. You will be eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) to practise in the UK.

120 points (typically BBB or BBC with a relevant EPQ). Must include one of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics. In addition to five passes at grade 4 GCSE, including English Language, Mathematics and Double Science.
