Course summary
Health visitors work with families with a new baby and with children up to five years of age. They use their knowledge and skills to provide support and advice for families in their home to ensure the child has the best start in life. They may also facilitate clinics and can work with a range of other health and social care professionals. This PgDip in Health Visiting (Person-Centred Practice) course is for Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registered nurses and midwives who wish to work in the community as a health visitor.This course will allow you to gain the level of knowledge and skills required for specialist practice as a health visitor. It leads to a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting) Qualification with the NMC.
