Overview

Artificial Intelligence is increasingly applied to jobs that are traditionally done by humans. This degree is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to manage the complexity that comes from a more artificial intelligence driven world.

This pathway includes two artificial intelligence specialist modules and your project will also be in this field. There will be no reference to artificial intelligence on your degree certificate, however your transcript will show all the modules you took and the grades you received.

The course consists of three distinct but interconnected stages:

Certificate - The modern enterprise and business environment – how does it work?

The Certificate phase will develop a resource-based view of the business enterprise and examine how value is created, including the impact of the wider business environment on the enterprise’s value creation activities.

Diploma - Preparing for tomorrow – what needs to change?

In the Diploma stage the focus shifts to considering the manager’s role in the development of an enterprise in response to the internal and external context, to create sustainable value.

Masters – Management in action – bringing about change

The Masters phase of the programme will focus more specifically on AI technologies, their use in business management and their impact on the company and society. The emphasis will be on exploring, critically evaluating and applying a range of sector specific models and concepts within a practice setting.

The course will also support you in clarifying and developing your career goals and will encourage reflection on how they might be met.

This course will focus on exploring and developing sector and role specific knowledge to support your career growth and future aspirations. It aims to enable you to gain a critical awareness of the latest issues and best practices in the use of artificial intelligence in business management.

Career prospects

During your study, you should develop a hands-on knowledge of using AI technologies to support your business. You should learn how your business can leverage the power of AI and big data to make informed decisions.

You will have the opportunity to develop strong analytical skills, clear perspectives on strategy and strategic thinking, highly effective communication and research skills. These are all in demand from employers in private, public, and third-sector organisations around the world.

We will bring you the latest thinking and most up-to-date developments in artificial intelligence and its application to the business world.
