Course summary

Gain advanced training under the supervision of leading experts and participate in ground-breaking research in physics and astrophysics. The School of Physics and Astronomy's main research interests focus on the physics of quantum materials, applied optics, astrophysics and planetary science.

Based in a research lab, you undertake research on a project agreed with your research supervisor. On a research-focused Master's course, you take an interactive approach to learning, rather than attending traditional lectures. Seminars, workshops and lab meetings enable you to gain an in-depth understanding of the field.
