Course summary
Portuguese and English are two of the most widely spoken languages in the world. This programme is designed to perfect your skills in Portuguese, the sixth most spoken language in the world, and provide you with a deep knowledge of the cultures where it is spoken (in Portugal, Angola, Brazil, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde and São Tome e Prncipe). At the same time it will provide rigorous training in the history, structure and theory of the English language. You will also be able to study the Scots language which has its own rich linguistic and literary tradition.
