Course Overview

This programme will suit individuals who are currently working in the field of Substance Misuse and those who wish to gain experience. This course has been developed to empower individuals to tackle problems caused by substance misuse. This is in the Health, Social and Childcare (HSC) department.

This course is run in partnership with the University of South Wales.

Assessment

You will usually have to complete portfolios, presentations and written assignments as you progress through the programme.

Career

This qualification will enhance career prospects within the health and social care field, particularly working with voluntary agencies dealing with substance misuse and as advice workers in the Health and Social Care and Social Services. Students may progress onto the Diploma in Higher Education in Public Health or onto Year 2 of the Foundation Degree in Care Studies.
